A successful entrepreneur and businessman, Lawrence is a senior director of a family-owned business portfolio that spans several sectors, ranging from skills and apprenticeships to hospitality and manufacturing.
He is also a passionate community leader. He has been appointed to a number of notable leadership positions, including festival director of Birmingham Pride, leadership commissioner for the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), and board director of Birmingham Southside BID, a community regeneration initiative.
In recognition of his community activism, in March 2020 Lawrence was appointed to be a Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the region, John Crabtree OBE.
Khadeem is Founding CEO of Amadeus Learning Partnership, a new Multi-Academy Trust which believes that giving all children, regardless of their socio-economic background, life-changing opportunities to develop their creative capacities through arts, metacognition and enrichment combined with an excellent knowledge-rich education is the key to truly transforming life chances. Amadeus has been established by passionate regional and national education leaders who are all united in this core belief. The Trust is planning to open with it's first three academies in June 2022.
He also works as an Education & Skills Advisor specialising in strategy and leadership, academy governance, arts education and enrichment.
Khadeem is a Board Director at Nene Education Trust (NET) where he is Chair of Education Standards Committee. NET is a leading Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) and Academy Sponsor educating children from age 2-19 across Northamptonshire. NET currently has eight schools and growing.
He is on the Board of Stay Telford, a specialist charitable trust providing supported housing schemes for vulnerable young people across the Borough of Telford & Wrekin and he is a public appointments mentee at the Cabinet Office.
